Reimi shook her head. "I haven't heard of any evil spirits, but I do know they exist." she answered, opening her book again. "Anyway, I think I should start collecting packs to buy, don't you?"

"That's a good idea. I may as well get some packs as well. I may get something I can use." He said with a smile. "Oh, I can sense something call out, from the pack over there on the left." Jason pointed at a new pack that was just released. No one else noticed anything but Jason looked like he could hear something... Calling... Calling out for Reimi it sounded.

Gathering some packs together, Reimi was about to buy the packs she had grabbed before Jason spoke. "Here." she said, holding out her hand. "I'll buy it as well as the other packs."

Jason handed her the pack and came over with 2 packs he was going to buy on his own.
Just then the Shop owner seemed to notice them. "Ah you two. You're in that tournament being held here. Just a second." He walked in back and came back with two packs named 'Legend of the Light'. "Take these. It's a gift the Director requested that I give you two specifically." Each had a tag with their name on it.
"Okay I guess..." Jason replied, taking the pack. 'Okay that's really strange... A pack with my name on it from the director?' He thought. He looked at Reimi to see her reaction to the sudden 'gift' with her exact name on the pack.

Seeing the pack with her name on it, Reimi nervously took the pack. "This isn't some sort of trap, is it?" she asked, looking at the store owner. "Usually, there's some sort of catch that comes with this kind of thing."

Evidently hesitant to take the pick, Reimi eventually took the pack and she paid for the packs she had picked before taking them outside.

Jason paid for his packs quickly and ran out after her and quickly caught up. "Hold up Reimi!" He called as he caught up. "Aren't you going to open those packs and see what you got?" He asked.

"Ah, I see." Jason replied. "I'm wondering what's in that special pack..." Jason pulled his out and opened it. There were three cards. One that looked like a Synchro Monster but there was no picture and the only thing that was readable was the name... "Starlight Gem Dragon? What is this! I can't read the writing at all and there's no picture..." The other two were simply blank cards. "Well this is weird... Want to see what's in your pack like this?"

She didn't want to open it, but since it wasn't a pack she had bought, there was no harm in opening it. Like Jason's pack, there was a synchro monster and two blank cards. "White Rose Dragon?" Reimi asked, puzzled as to why she would receive a dragon. "But, why me?"

"I have no idea... Can you read the card's text at all? I can't read mine." Jason replied. He then showed her the card where everything was in a strange language and no picture for some strange reason. "Could I see your card?"

When she showed him her card a pulsation went through his arm, a strange pain, in some shape. It lasted only for a moment and it was suddenly gone. "Ow... What?" Jason said in reply. Then he looked at her card and it was just like his. "That is weird... how can we use a card like this? We can't even see what it looks like or what it does or even how to Summon it..."

She had received the same pulsing sensation and it caused her to quickly place her other hand on her arm, holding it in pain. "Damn it..." she replied quietly, the sensation gone as quickly as it arrived. "I'm beginning to believe there is a catch to this pack."

Jason looked at her as she held her arm as well. "Did you just feel a sensation go through your arm as well?" he asked, wondering if she was right.

She nodded, wondering what that pulse was. "If it keeps happening, I'm going to come back here and let them know of this, but for now, I won't say anything." she answered, looking back at her first synchro.

"I wonder why we were even given these packs... And how did the Director know who to give what?" Jason wondered. "And how the Director knows me at all... I'm not exactly from Neo Domino City. Actually I came because my Grandpa was looking to move here..." he added.

Reimi would never say where she was really from. She didn't want people thinking she was some sort of freak, therefore, she stayed quiet about the details of her birth. "I'm wondering if the Director has a plan for us giving us these cards." she said, putting the rest of the packs away.

Nodding, Reimi began to feel some dormant power in her finally begin to awaken. "No, I'm beginning to feel something, but I can't really explain it." she amswered, looking around. She was still new to this city, learning where everything was.

Reimi nodded once again. "I do, actually." she answered, managing to secure herself a house in this city. The city was still ailen to her, but at least she had a really big house all to herself. "It's too big for me to live in myself."
