"Another Normal duelist?" Jack questioned. "Is there no Turbo Duelists here?" He was waiting for his Opponent for arrive. But he would not be too surprised if his Opponent dropped out after learning he was dueling the King. He decided he would wait another 15 minutes and if his Opponent didn't show up, he'll have himself declared the winner by default. What kind of Duelist will he be fighting now?

Don Russo rubbed his chin as he waited for his name to be called for the second round. as he looked threw his cards, as he usually does in his spare time. deep in thought about his loss in the first round. "at least I will be facing someone else who lost their first round duel. should be easier" Russo thought as he looked around at the crowd. then he heard his name being called to the field. he heard the name of his opponent "just my luck. gotta face that pompous self righteous former king guy" Russo thought as he picked up his belongings and walked to the field.
as Don Russo Arrived he could see Jack, in his mind making a fool of himself as always. Russo pulled out his duel disk and placed it on his left arm. "ah well, if it isn't the FORMER king being my opponent" Russo jabbed. "how is life as a regular below average duelist now? rotten and miserable I hope." Russo said with a sneer, Russo really despised people with big ego's. more so than people who did not pay their debts. "perhaps Mr. Royal hothead wants to go first?" he questioned with a smirk

"Huh, Pompus jerk huh?" Jack responded growling. "Well then lets see you try to beat me then! Because you shouldn't have 'any problem' beating the 'former King' then! I'll show you what true power is! And just to prove my point, I'll start things off!"

"oh dear is the king getting angry. we don't want to have that happen" Russo said waving a finger at Jack. "I hope I haven't angered the king. I mean nothing but the utmost respect" The don said with a disrespectful bow "My name is Ettore Russo. but you can just call me The Don." he said with a smirk "please I do not wish to hold the always busy king up with formality's. I am sure you have some press conference or something having to do with you losing your title as king, and how you will get it back. to attend to after our duel. so please do go first" Russo said laughing

Jack was now quite angry, but let himself breath out for a moment. "It's my turn! I set 1 Monster and a Face-down. Your turn. But don't think you'll be getting off easily." Jack threatened.

"It's my turn now. I draw" Russo said drawing a card and adding it to his hand. in this duel his hand was much better. "I summon Don Zaloog to my field" Russo said with a smile. as Don Zaloog stood on his field. "next I will activate a spell card. The A. Forces. it grants any warriors and Spellcasters +200 attack for each on the field. bringing my Don up to 1,600. Finally I will set 2 cards facedown and end my turn" Russo said

"It's my turn!" Jack Declared. "I Draw!" He looked at his card. "Time to show you why I am the King! I Discard my Level 1 Barrier Resonator to Special Summon Power Giant in attack mode! And now I activate its effect: So now he becomes a Level 5. Next I flip my Dark Resonator face-up! Then I'm tuning my Level 3 Dark Resonator with my Level 5 Power Giant!" The tuning rings appeared now as a Synchro Summon was about to Occur.
5+3=8 "Let the heartbeat of the Ruler now file through here and Bear witness to its Creation Shaking power! Synchro Summon! My very Soul! Red Dragon Archfiend!" The great dragon appeared roaring in fierce power. "Next I activate Scarlet Security! Because I have a Red Dragon Archfiend, all your Spell and Traps are destroyed!"

Russo said with a smirk "Reverse card open Bottomless trap hole. since your monster has more than 1,500 attack it is destroyed and Banished. no Dragon for you" Russo said naggingly and waving a finger "I thought the former king would play a lot better than this" Russo said with a sly laugh

"so your going to force my hand. so be it" Russo said pushing a button on his duel disk "Counter Trap Activate. Dark Bribe. your counter trap is negated. and you sir can draw a card." Russo said with a smirk "not that it will help you though" he retorted, repeating Jack's Statement. "your monster is still banished. anything else you want to try?" Russo said with a grin

"It's all for not." He exclaimed. "I activate D.D.R. - Different Dimension Reincarnation! I discard Resonator Call to Bring Red Dragon Archfiend back from the void! Be reborn Red Dragon Archfiend!" Jack's dragon once again appeared. "Now my Dragon! Show him what true power is! Attack Don Zalog! Absolute Powerforce!" The Dragon's hand started on fire as it charged at Don's Monster ready to kill.

"If you mean really bad for you as good then yes, it's 'good' for you." Jack replied. "It's my turn! I Draw!" Jack drew his card. "Perfect. I activate Red Dragon Vase. Because I have a Red Dragon Archfiend I can Draw 2 Cards." Jack drew 2 cards. "But then I can't Summon this turn. Next I activate Scarlet Security, because a have a Red Dragon Archfiend, I can destroy all your Spell and Traps!" He declared as a Burning wave came from Red Dragon Archfiend heading right for his Opponent's Spell and Traps.

"it's a good thing I set that decoy trap." Russo thought as the blazing wave from Jack's spell came forth and destroyed his Dark Scorpion Combination and A. Forces "no real loss except for my A. Forces." Russo said to Jack "I do believe that was a waste of a spell, were you afraid I might have a real trap? of course you were" Russo said laughing "you claim my deck is second rate. but deep down you fear the unknown. your use of that spell proves it. your arrogant jerk on the outside." Russo surmised "but deep down below all of that pompous exterior, your a scared little boy fearing your own shadow." Russo said "I on the other hand am a straight shooter, nothing to hid nothing to fear. this Mr. King is why you are despised." Russo said as he placed his spell and trap in the graveyard.

"well that makes it a bit more interesting" Russo said with a slight frown as Dragon moved forward to attack his facedown monster. and now that it had fairy meteor crush it now had piercing damage. as the dragon attacked the facedown monster reviled itself to be a mystic tomato. Don Russo took 1900 damage from the attack. after his monster was destroyed his lifepoints clicked down to 4700. "since my mystic tomato was destroyed by battle its effect activates. I can summon a dark monster from my deck with less than 1500 attack points." Don Russo explained. "the monster I summon is always lovely! Dark Scorpion-Meanae The Thorn"

"it's my turn" Russo said as he drew a card "I guess this will have to work" he thought as he looked at the 2 cards in his hand "its a bit of an old trick. but it will work in this instance I suspect" he thought "I summon the Marauding Captain. this old but good card has an effect of summoning another level 4 or lower monster with him. as well as no other warrior can be selected as an attack target." Russo explained "the monster I summon with the captain is another Marauding Captain. with 2 captains on the field they protect each other preventing you from declaring an attack" Russo laughed "I hope this stall tactic works." he thought "I end my turn"

"well that's not cool" Russo said rolling his eyes. as his 3 monster's on the field were sent to the grave. "Tiny,wayne.. I am doing the best I can guys. even if I don't make it to the finals or even win. I will have tried my hardest. I have no regrets" Russo said under his breath "I know your probably going to shoot your mouth off but just listen. seeing you on T.V and such vs the real deal. I can see you do have a fair bit of power. just don't let your overconfidence get the best of ya." he said "ya hear what I'm sayin kid? this don't mean the duels over but I do have a respect for ya as a duelist now." he said smiling but still ready to finish the duel to the end.
