Hopes and aspirations: She came to Neo Domino City due to political unrest in Egypt, but has no idea what to do now that she's here. She passes the time in the library and dueling anyone who she can. Her fate will depend on where life takes her, and she has no particular aspiration other than to remain alive for the entirety of her natural lifespan.

Layla was bored. There was nothing to do in this city! She was having trouble getting a job and she wasn't sure if she could pay rent next month, but no one wanted to hire a foreigner. She didn't even sound like a foreigner, but unfortunately everyone seemed to be able to tell she wasn't from around here.
She had to think this through. Surely there was some way she could make money. She had managed to acquire a Duel Disk some time ago and she had gotten a hand-me-down deck from her older sister...
Maybe she could enter in a local tournament? Did they have those?
And so she set out to find out, unaware of the strangely clothed men watching her from the shadows of her apartment complex's alleyway.
(It's not my best work, but she's pretty flexible in how she'll turn out personality wise so I wasn't quite sure what to say.)
