Ready to end the Arcadia Movement once and for all, Carly had sent a messenger to Divine that instructed him to meet her in the arena. She wondered if he would actually show up to meet her. Her hummingbird sign glowed on her arm, like a regular Signer. Carly folded her arms across her chest, waiting for Divine.

Divine had wondered off away from Jason disgusted with the lack of answers regarding Marius's death. then someone approached him. he was unsure of the person's intent. he received a cryptic message about meeting someone at one of the duel fields. the messenger had a dark aura about them, but his motivation for answers drew him in like a moth to the flame. as Divine approached he felt a very evil force nearby, known yet unknown at the same time. "why does this feel familiar" he thought as he pushed on toward the field. then he saw her. eyes as black as the darkest night. left arm glowing purple with the mark of the Hummingbird. Divine knew this could mean only one thing. "Carly?" he asked. as he approached. at this point his disguise was useless. she saw threw it easily while he was questioning Jason he thought. "you killed Marius just to get me to come here huh?" he said
Divine removed the useless disguise and tossed it to the side. "its good to have that rancid clothing off anyway" Divine said as he adjusted his tie and hair. under the sleeve of the detective jacket he had his golden duel disk. he put it on his arm. "you know I won't let you get away with Marius's murder right?" he said with venom in his voice. "none of this would have ever happened if you would have minded your own business. you could have lived your pathetic life, making lackluster newspaper articles or whatever you did." he spat

"I had to draw you out and now that you're here, you'll never escape." Carly replied, keeping her eyes on him. "How does it feel to know that today is your last day of life? I hope you enjoyed it, but it ends now!" Activating her duel disk, Carly's Life Point counter went up to 8000 and she drew five cards.

Divine regarded her quite steadily "if its a duel you want. you will receive it. I will unleash all of my psychic power. you will wish you didn't find me here" Divine yelled out as he activated his duel disk and pulled 5 cards into his hand."This time it will be different, I know what her deck and field magic can do. with this prior knowlege the result will be much different than last time" he thought. "I'll go first, I draw" he said as he pulled another card into his hand. "I summon the tuner monster Krebons to my field" he said as Krebons danced onto his field "this is an ok hand, but I see room for improvement. and it better" he thought as he looked at the cards in his hand "I set one card facedown, and end my turn." he said as he prepared for whatever her turn would bring.

To her, his turn was a really simple one and she wanted hers to be much better. She drew her sixth card and to her dismay, she couldn't do much. "I set 2 cards facedown and summon Fortune Lady Light in attack mode. Although I wish I could do more, that's the end of my first turn."

Divine regarded her field, slowly considering his options. they were sparse "Its my turn I draw" he said as he pulled another card from his deck. he looked at it and began to weigh his options. "in a shadow duel I don't have room for any mistakes. but if I wait to long she will activate that cursed field magic. or worse.." he thought as he remembered his first duel against her. "stop over thinking. treat this like any other duel" he thought. "if I summon Magical Android and then get psychic commander on the field. I will be able to summon Thought Ruler Archfiend. then I will not be stopped" Divine knew what he had to do now.
"I summon the level 3 monster Mind Protector in attack mode" Divine said with a grin, he knew that should this summon be sucessful he would be able to tune Krebons and Mind Protector to summon Magical Android. a white light opened up on the ground in one of his monster card zones. and a mechanical being appeared.

Carly simply watched him, wondering what she could do. What she wanted was to end the duel with her Earthbound God, but she didn't see that happening. For now, she decided she would whittle down Divine's Life Points and kill them with bug bites, but there was nothing to do as of now. "Keep going, this duel won't go anywhere if you keep summoning your pathetic psychic buddies that can't do anything, except waste your Life Points." she replied.

"we'll see about that" seeing no chain to mind protectors summoning Divine continued his turn "I shall now tune Level 2 Krebons and Level 3 Mind Protector" Krebons stopped dancing on the field and jumped upward turning into 2 rings. mind protector followed suit soon after. jumping into the space between the rings turning into 3 stars. Divine raised his fist to the sky as a white light illuminated where mind protector once was "My flames of hatred, inflamed within the abyss of my heart, become the black raging waves that will overrun this world. Synchro Summon! Appear now, Magical Android" he said as Red flame erupted from the ground. and a white garbed android appeared holding a large scythe. "as I am sure your aware this "psychic buddy" does not waste my lifepoints, it increases it every end phase. by 600 for every psychic type monster on my field." he said
"go Magical Android attack fortune Lady light." Divine said. Magical Android nodded as he brought her scythe backward. a ball of red hot fire formed at the tip. Magical android then thrust the scythe in the direction of the fortune lady. the fireball began to fly toward Carly's monster

Carly watched his monster approach hers and started laughing. "I think I'll activate Interdimensional Matter Transporter." Carly replied, revealing one of her facedown cards. "This card allows me to banish one face-up monster I control and it will return to my side during the End Phase and I choose my Fortune Lady Light!" Light vanished from the field soon aftet Carly finished her sentence. "Due to my Fortune Lady's effect, I can Special Summon another Fortune Lady from my deck and I choose Fortune Lady Fire!" A red Fortune Lady then appeared on the field, taking Light's place. "Next, Fortune Lady Fire's special ability activates. Since it was special summoned by a Fortune Lady, I can destroy one monster onbthe field and then you take damage equal to that monster's attack points and she will destroy your Magical Android!"

Divine watched as the attack approached she activated her trap card. then to his horror Fortune Lady Fire came in its
place. he knew well the risks of the attack and now he was going to pay the price. it was over in but a minute his monster
gone. and now the raging fire came toward him. his eyes widened in fear, he knew what was going to happen in mear seconds.
the flames struck him with such force it sent him flying backward. landing straight on his back nearly 10 feet away from
where he was standing. Divine was very slow to stand up from such an attack. his knees weak his arms almost as weak as he
struggled to stand and fight once more. "I will not lose this way. I will Claim victory no matter the cost"he thought as he tried to stand up. he coughed painfully as he did stand. his facade broken as he realized that this was not fun and games, his life once more hung in the balance.
Divine slowly came back to where he was once standing before the effect of her fortune lady. he stared down at his duel
disk on the display it read 5600. as he examined the field once more reassessing his situation it seemed strikingly familiar. he looked over the cards in his hand. useless now since he no longer had a monster on the field. and with magical android gone he would not gain the 600 lifepoints during the end phase. "as long as she doesn't draw her field spell and I don't activate mine she will not be able to summon her Earthbound God." he thought as he knew that on her standby phase her fortune lady light would return to the field once more. satisfying the tribute requirement for Aslla Piscu. "but if I don't activate my field spell soon. I will put myself in a position I don't want to be in, what are the chances she will draw that one card?" he continued to think. "startlingly high I would suspect. she is no ordinary duelist after all" he thought as he wiped his forehead.
"I set one card facedown" Divine said as he placed another card into his duel disks magic card slot. he then look a hard look into her eye's ignoring the fear of the darkness hoping to get some sense of the cards contained in her hand. she gave no telltale signs of what her intent on her turn was, other than to cause more pain and death if at all possible. the fear of what she is capable struck Divine hard. he tried to speak but nothing came out. he swallowed hard and then said "I end my Turn"

Carly drew her next card, clearly happy that she was in a favorable position early. "Is it me or have your skills dropped so low that anyone has a chance to beat you?" she asked, a smirk on her face. "Fortune Lady Light now returns to my field and Fortune Lady Fire now goes up a level and gains 200 attack and defense points. Unfortunately for them, I'm switching them to defense mode as they are unable to do much. Next, I summon Solitaire Magician in attack mode and she will attack you directly!"

Divine became enraged by her comment. the gall to question his skill was unthinkable in his mind. "you destroy one
monster and think anyone can beat me? a laughable notion" Divine said angerly "your deck is filled with weak and pathetic
monsters. who's attacks do nary a scratch, relying upon Dark Magic and superstition." Divine spat "and to top it off a
cowardly tactic indeed to switch them to defense mode, do you fear the possibility that I might summon a stronger
monster? hmm is that it?" he questioned sarcastically. then she summoned the Solitaire Magician. he realized that is has a
quite powerful effect. "reduce the level of a fortune lady by 3 and destroy a monster hmm" he didn't have much time to
think as she waged a direct attack on his lifepoints. none of his current set cards would be useful in deflecting an
attack.
He crossed his arms and prepared for the invariable pain he would feel from the attack. surprisingly it didn't hurt nearly
as much as when his magical android was destroyed by the effect of Fortune Lady Fire. the pain inflicted by the attack was most comparable to being struck repeatedly in the stomach. his lifepoints now at 4000. drained to one half in one turn.
Divine felt a burning sensation, completely unrelated to the attack he had just endured. Divine felt around in his pockets for the source of the burning pain. much to his surprise it was the blank card. it felt like it was on fire in his hand. he dropped it to the ground rather quickly.
now scared because he did not know what that card was or what it was capable. but he could feel its desires, it desired more than anything to be free. free from what bound it to the blank card. but there was more a yearning. almost as if to see an old friend. Divine did not know why he could feel almost the emotion of a card but he was not about to try and pick it up and hold it again. he had a duel to focus on not a card with emotions. Divine couldn't help but look down at the card again. then he pushed it from his mind, hoping it would not bother him for the remainder of the duel. Divine brushed off the dust that had clung to his coat after he was attacked. rolled his neck side to side and prepared to take his turn.

Divine feeling backed into a corner could see his options dwindling. "I draw" he said as he drew his next card into his
hand. he looked over his hand then made his decision. "I activate the spell card Terraforming. It allows me to add a Field
Magic to my hand." Divine said as Brain Research Lab came to his hand. "I activate the Field Spell Brain Research Lab."
Divine said as the field card slot of his duel disk opened. he placed the card in the slot with slight trepidation. "if
she has her Earthbound in her hand this will go bad very quickly. I must destroy her monsters.." Divine thought as the
field magic began to shift from a blank field to a Lab filled with machines humming and buzzing. "among other fantastic
ability's. this card allows a second normal summon of a psychic type monster. all at the cost of 1 psychic counter" He
said.
"now I activate the continuous magic Teleport. while you control a monster and I have none I can summon a psychic monster
from my hand regardless of the number of tributes required for its summon at the small cost of 800 lifepoints" Divine
explained "I Special summon Storm Caller from my hand" he said as a hole on his field opened up and white smoke poured
out. and soon after a large creature appeared on his field. "it gets better my "friend" " Divine grinned "reverse card
open. Emergency Teleport" "with this quick play spell I can special summon a level 3 or lower psychic type monster from my
deck"
"if I bring out a level 2 I can summon Thought Ruler. but if I bring out a level 3 I can summon Hyper Psychic Blaster"
Divine thought. "Thought Ruler Can't be targeted. but Hyper psychic does Piercing Damage." he pondered "I summon from my
deck the level 2 tuner Krebons" as another Krebons appeared on his field. "now I shall tune these two monsters" as Krebons
became 2 yellow rings in the sky and storm caller clapped his hands and was lifted into the rings. storm caller became 6
stars amongst the rings
"Surge, my black mist of vengeance! Synchro Summon! Come, Mental Sphere Demon!" Divine yelled out as instead of blazing
white light like when he summoned magical android. it was black darkness that enveloped his field "My ultimate synchro
beast has appeared on my field."

"Yes!" Carly exclaimed, seeing his Thought Ruler Archfiend show up. "Let me feed on your desperation...oh wait, reveal facedown! Bottomless Trap Hole! It destroys and removes your monster. My trap doesn't target, so you can't negate it."

she could read him just like a book. he was becoming more desperate as all of his moves he made she was one step ahead of him in every regard. any monster he would summon was being destroyed. left with only one card in his hand and a useless facedown. his options near none. as his prized monster the Thought Ruler Archfiend was destroyed and removed from play. "I can do nothing more than end my turn. what are you going to do now huh poke me to death with your pathetic monsters?" Divine said looking over her field. and once again this turn he was in a position that she would be able to lead an unimpeded direct attack.

"I could do 3000 points of damage this turn if I change all my monsters to attack mode and that's what I'm going to do!" Carly exclaimed. "Go! Triple direct attack!" Carly's monsters began their attacks, each getting success hits. "I think I'll end my turn with that."

the three monsters attacked Divine and he was stricken by all 3. once again Divine was thrown backwards. his head bleeding as well as his arms and legs from scrapes incurred by the attacks. "you think this is the end?!" Divine yelled out in a pained voice. as he wiped the blood from his face and arms. walking with determination back to the duel area. "I will not lose this day. I will stand above all. do you know who I am?!" he said letting his anger take over. for the majority of the duel he would be described as "restrained" but no longer. his rage has reached the boiling point. then he felt a wave of power come from the card on the ground. it nearly knocked Divine to the ground. "I've just about had enough of that card?!" he said as he walked past it. Divine's life points now at 1000. very very low and in a very dangerous position. if he didn't do something amazing his upcoming turn would be his last.
Divine swallowed hard "its do or die. literally" he thought as he said "My turn I draw" he drew a card. Divine regarded the card he drew it was usable but not without cost. "with the effect of Teleport I summon the monster Final Psychic Ogre" at this point his effect is irrelevant, and Divine knew it with his life at 200 nearly anything could end this duel. knowing she had no facedowns "go my Final Psychic Ogre attack her Solitaire Magician. Psychic Wave Strike" he called out as his ogre ran forth toward Carly's monster with the intent to destroy it. after declaring the attack Divine felt somewhat confidant "for once she didn't destroy my monster. this is good even if it looks bad I can still perhaps turn this duel around" he thought.

Carly covered her head with her duel disk as her Solitaire Magician was destroyed and she lost 600 Life Points. When she drew her next card, Carly looked at Divine and began clapping. "Bravo. Well done. I thought you wouldn't be able to damage my points and that was certainly a wonderful attack." she said, ready to end the duel. "Now, if only you had more monsters to attack me with. Anyway, my Fortune Ladies gain a level as well as 200 more attack points, but they won't be around long. Because of your Brain Research Lab field spell, I sacrifice my ladies to summon Earthbound God Aslla Piscu!" For the second time, Carly summoned her ace after sending the two Fortune Ladies on her field to the graveyard. "Can you feel it? The sweet, calming touch of darkness. Let it embrace you and then take you. Aslla Piscu, end it. Attack Divine directly and end the life of this wretched organization!"

Divine could scene the arrogance in her voice after his monster attacked and destroyed her monster. then she drew her card at the beginning of her turn. he could see that grin on her face. he had seen it before. the evil smirk of drawing a very useful card. then it was the beginning of the end. he saw her fortune lady's disappear. both of them, tributes to Aslla Piscu. as the Bird took flight once again. he knew it was the end. nothing he could do would stop it now. he had tried his
best and lost once more. but this time nothing would save him from this fate. Divine backed up slowly, a useless gesture but not made by choice but out of fear. as his eyes darted around for something to protect his life. he saw the card on the ground. it was shaking, quite violently like a burglar trying to break a chain. Divine didn't understand what that meant. nor did he have time to think about it for as soon as he thought about the card. her Earthbound God let out that Chirp noise or what could be described as a chirp noise. It brought Divine's Focus back to the monster she had just summoned. Aslla Piscu began its attack run aimed directly at his heart.Divine screamed out in fear. as it drew closer.Time began to go slowly now, seconds became minutes.
"Noooooo! Nightshroud if you are a Deity save me from this fate" he yelled. but no salvation came, not a voice, nothing to protect him. Divine tried to crouch down in a half-baked attempt to save his life. he didn't care if it make him look like a fool, his life was seconds from ending. soon after he was struck straight in the chest a direct strike. Divine was sent flying 20 to 30 feet away from where he was crouched down. he duel disk was separated from his arm in the attack.
his duel disk and deck went flying into the air. it all seemed like slow motion as the card slid out of the duel disk. the cards fell to the ground slowly scattering along the path Divine had flown. the duel disk slammed the cement field right next to the blank card Divine had discarded earlier . it was completely destroyed the gold paint burnt and charred the display flickering as it displayed 0. the facedown card Divine had in play lay neatly and undamaged on top of the destroyed Duel disk. it was Battle Teleportation. a card that had granted him victory, now had its role reversed as it was unable to do anything to help Divine.
As Divine lay on the ground in a state between life and death he could feel the vail of death sweeping over him. his eye sight becoming blurry. and hazed. it felt cold, and lonely as he lay there dieing. visions of his life flashed before him. "I am a failure" he thought as he began to choke on the blood that began to pool in his mouth. he gagged several times as he spat the red liquid from his mouth. he turned his head toward Carly's Direction "you've finally gotten what you... wanted.." he choked "I hope its everything you wanted" he said coughing up more blood on the cement. it began to form a rather large pool inches away from his mouth.
he turned away, in his last moments the last thing he wanted to hear was any snide response from her. "I have failed you Marius." he thought as he closed his eyes. he could feel the beat of his heart slowing. he breathing became harder now. and then Divine took in one last pained breath. he thought of only his failings in his life and what would become of the Arcadia Movement. as the darkness surrounded him. his life ended.

Getting another victory, Carly could hardly believe that she had finally gotten part of what she wanted. It was time to move on to her main goal. "Now, it's time to get Jack and turn him into one of us." Carly whispered, deactivating her duel disk and walking away. She felt no remorse for what she did and she would leave the body there. If anyone had seen the duel, she didn't care. She knew Sector Security would never arrest her, let alone find her.

Once Divine's body was consumed by the Darkness, he was transported to the World of Darkness ruled by Nightshroud. There was only darkness, thousands of souls, and the deity itself.
"Awaken Divine." The deity commanded as his body and soul came before the deity of shadows and evil itself. It's blue eyes gleamed in the skull that was covered by the hood of the outfit he wore. It was Nightshroud, his true form. He saw much better opportunities for this Human then to just become one with the Shadows just yet. He was still useful, if he was willing.

Divine sat up and looked around and saw he was no longer in pain. And no longer bleeding. "where am I" he asked not yet comprehending what happened then he then heard a familiar voice. That foreboding evil. But it was different. "did you spare my life?" he asked nightshroud as there were no wounds on his body, at least none he could see.

Nightshroud looked upon him. "You are in my world. The Dark World, see all those who are here as well?" Nightshroud allowed him to see into the sphere to see millions of cards and people floating, as if in suspended animation. They all were now apart of Nightshroud himself. "Your role has not been completed yet. So I will offer you an option... Serve me as a Dark Signer, or join the others who have surrendered to the Darkness." He said. "If you do become my servant, you will be endowed with a new power. A power of Darkness itself! The power of an Earthbound Immortal." Nightshroud offered. Allow me to show you what you will be able to do. "He held out one finger which was literally just bone, and a shot of Darkness shot right at Divine. It Seemed to capture him, and it showed him a vision.

"so I did die huh" Divine thought as Nightshroud talked about Dark world. then he saw a sphere of cards and people
lifeless body's. "I don't want to be that." upon closer inspection he could see Marius's body floating among the others. This made him very angry, angry at her and Angry at himself for not being able to avenge his death. "Marius I failed you. she was too strong" He thought, Divine usually didn't really care about any of the members of the movement. They were just tools to accomplish goals, but Marius was different. Divine could see a little bit of himself in Marius when he found him. alas that was years ago, Marius was one of Divine's top students a true powerhouse among men. and now he was nothing but a floating body.
then he heard the offer of becoming a Dark Signer, he new what they were capable and what they stood for. "its not like I have a choice, become a Dark Signer or stay here dead." he thought then Nightshroud extended his finger toward him. Divine was shocked to see it was nothing but a bone, no flesh at all. that caught him off guard. "so this is your true form huh" Divine questioned as he took a hard look at Nightshroud. "you've defiantly got the creepy evil look down to a science." He said with a grin. then a bolt of pure darkness came at Divine he had no chance to object or complain. it caused no pain but rather caused his mind to drift. it was a vision he was having.
Divine didn't know where he was somewhere in Neo Domino city from what he could ascertain. he clothes radically different.
he was wearing a pure black coat with white markings. he looked down at his left arm. there inblazened right above his
wrist was a purple blazing mark. its shape an eye. Divine went threw his deck. mostly psychics then he saw his immortal,
Drakl. a 5 card Combo immortal. the pieces combind together to form a powerful monster.
The vision shifted then. to a duel taking place, it was Divine against someone he did not know. but the vision of himself
did he could hear himself saying "you signers are weak and worthless. I will take your soul from you. duel me if you dare.
but be warned I have not lost" Divine pondered what he was saying "sounds like something I would say" he thought as he
watched the duel taking place. "I activate the field magic Infinity Space. it allows me to summon a token each turn. it
can not be used for synchro's or tributes.. except for the summon of an Earthbound" He laughed as a Token appeared on his
field "I now normal Summon Psychic Commander" Divine said.
The Vision shifted once more toward the end of the duel. Divine stood confident where as his opponent was losing, and
quite badly he would guess. "the time is now to set the wheels in motion, I tribute my token and Thought Ruler Archfiend
to summon Earthbound God Drakl" the two monsters on Divine's field disappeared and in its place a giant Dark core appeared
in its place. "just wait and see what this Earthbound does. when it is summoned It brings. forth 4 other pieces. Drakl
Top,Carrier,Guard and attack." the Core of the monster became surround by 4 other peices with them all assembled it became
a very menacing monster "in addition Drakl gains a total of all the parts on the field to equal its attack points. its
attack is 3200! go Forth Earthbound Immortal Drakl, End This signers life forever" Vision Divine laughed.
Divine was pulled from the vision, almost in a cold sweat. he had seen the power that he would be capable of and

Nightshroud's eyes gleamed as his face became more visable. It was a strange skull with horns. "I will give you the power of an Earthbound Immortal, but it will be limited in power until you complete your original mission. You also shall lead my servants, the Dark Signers to complete victory." It oustreched it's hand and darkness came out of it, consuming Divine, it was a corruption turning him completely dark. As he heard form others, it felt as if they're bodies were being ripped apart by the power as the darkness extinguished their light. No more hope, or positive emotions. Only darkness, hatred, anger, the dark side of love and other darkness. "You now will be remade as my servant!"
