Jason walked over to his assigned arena and stood ready to duel. He didn't even notice the fact that the first ring, the one he was assigned too, was the one that was monitored the most, and as such the one that nearly everyone would be paying attention too. But he didn't care at all. Like his Grandfather, he was not afraid of crowds or people watching him. He was ready to play, and play he shall. As he waited he checked his deck. "It's time to rock and roll! I can't wait to start, this will be an awesome game!" He said aloud excitement boiling over within him.
"Be ready for anything. There are also Numbers here, and some strong and dangerous ones. We always have to be cautious." Sky Pegasus replied.
"I am ready! But I'm still excited about what will happen!" He replied. "But one question... Where is my Opponent?"

Marius heard his name just as he had expected, he was to report to field 2, which curiously was directly within sight range of the skybox. Marius approached his duel field and could see his opponent, his excitement annoyed him right off the bat "Duels aren't games" Marius thought as he took his place at the other side of the duel field. He didn't want Jason to know yet his motives, although it would become clear when he summoned a psychic monster he assumed. "I will avenge Blaze's honor" he thought as he feigned excitement "You must be Mr. Jason? if so I shall be your opponent. I am Marius" He said feigning kindness. "I feel it would be the respectful and courtesy thing to do, since you arrived first after all. to let you take the first turn." Marius said as he waited to see what Jason would do.
Marius had heard from Divine about what kind of deck he uses. but to hear about it and see it were two different things. by allowing Jason to go first it would give Marius an edge, or so he thought

Jason smiled at the offer. He was more then ready! "Alright then! Let's rock and roll!" He said as he activated his duel disk and placed his deck where it belonged.
"I smell a trick" Sky Pegasus said. "There must be a reason why you were simply allowed to go first..."
"You worry too much." Jason replied as he awaited his Opponent to activate his duel disk. "Well, are you going to use that Duel Disk?" He asked.

"Alright then." Jason replied sounding a bit more concerned, now this guy started to sound suspicious to him as well. He was acting as if he knew Jason, yet Jason had never seen him before. And he didn't think he had fans... At very least around here. "Alright then, it's my turn!" Jason drew his card, this hand wasn't that good, but not horrible either. No Pegasus or Tiger... He sighed. "I set 1 Monster Face-down and a Facedown will end my turn!"

Marius drew his opening hand. "hmm interesting" Marius thought as he considered Jason's field "I draw" Marius said as he pulled a sixth card into his hand
"he will know what I am a part of now. My deck betrays me, but such is life" Marius thought as he prepared to start his turn. "I will activate the field Magic card Brain Research Lab." Marius said with a grin "It has many effects, none of which are good for you. First it allows a second normal summon of a psychic monster by just putting a psychic counter on the field spell. Next all psychic monsters effect costs can be deferred. By placing a counter on the spell card." Marius explained "I trust you understand who am I now and what I represent." Marius said as he reached into his pocket and pulled his arcadia movement emblem. And affixed it to his shirt
(any chain to my field spell?)

"You're from the Arcadia Movement..." Jason replied. "So Divine's been planning to stop me, but this quickly is surprising. So Sky Pegasus was right to be more cautious about you."
"I thought he was too suspicious." Sky Pegasus added.
"Yea, you gave yourself away before your turn even started. You acted as if you already knew me or at least about me. But I'm pretty sure I don't have that many fans here; At least not yet." Jason told him.

"well I'm sorry that I gave myself away, I've never been good at covert operations." Marius shrugged "now where was I. Ah yes. I shall summon the tuner monster Psychic commander." Marius said as the creature appeared before him. "now due to the effect of my field magic, I can summon Armored Axon kicker without tribute because I have psychic commander on my field" Marius laughed as he now had two monsters on his field. "I will avenge Blaze, you were the one who killed him. Did you expect to get away with that without recompense? His blood is on your hands. And if I should fail. Which I doubt. Master Divine will in my stead"

"silence your lies will have no effect. Also who do you think is sponsoring the tournament? And thus the television? We are. the Movement controls more of this city than you could imagine. Marius jeered. "now I shall tune my Psychic commander to my Armored axon kicker" (3+6=9) Marius said as Armored axon kicker turned into 6 stars and Psychic Commander turned into 3 rings. "the combination and man and machine bring forth an new psychic force. Appear before me now, Hyper psychic Blaster" Marius yelled as the Monster appeared with its guns drawn at Jason's Monster.

"Should have guessed that." Jason replied to finding that the Arcadia Movement was controlling the media. "So are you waiting for an invitation? Or are you going to attack?" he asked.
"This is bad, that Monster is quite powerful, I hope you have a way to destroy that Monster come your turn." Sky Pegasus said.
"You and me both" Jason replied.

"go my psychic Blaster annihilate his monster." the guns hyper psychic blaster drew charged their energy. It was a viable blue color. Then soon after the shots were fired ripping there way toward Jason's facedown monster "if this attack is successful. I will do damage him and gain life points as well." Marius thought.

"Should have kept watch of my Facedown... Because its about ya hard! I activate Magic Cylinder! Now your attack is not only stopped, but all those Attack points come back to hit you... For a grand total of your monster's ATK so that's 3000!" Jason replied as two Cylinder's appeared, the Blaster's attack entered one and came out of the other right at Marius.
"That held off his attack for this turn at least." Sky Pegasus said.
Jason nodded, "Hopefully, and if it works I'll be taking the lead."

Marius saw his attack redirected at himself. he could do absolutely nothing as he stood still frozen in place as his own monsters attack came directly at himself. as Marius was stricken by his own attack, he growled as he watched his lifepoints click down to 5000. "good move for an amateur." Marius Jeered. "I shall set one card facedown and end my turn."

Jason smirked. He survived this turn, but now he just had too get rid of that Monster... "It's my turn!" Jason declared. "I draw!" Jason drew his card and smiled. His deck had such perfect timing. "First I'll Flip Summon my Crystal Seer." the card switched to Attack mode, and flipped face-up to reveal the Level 1 Monster with 100 ATK and DEF. "Now my Monster's effect activates! thanks to this effect, I can draw 2 cards, but then I have to put one of those drawn cards on the Bottom of my deck. This one will do." Jason said as he choose his card. 'Now to get rid of that Monster' he thought. "Now get ready for a little black hole! I'll activate Dark Hole! This spell card destroys all Monsters on the Field!" a Black hole opened and Crystal Seer and Hyper Psychic Blaster began to be pulled into the rip of space-time.

"I had planned on you making such a move" Marius said as his monster disappeared. "this is all going according to plan. Oh wait I will humor you. My only monster.. You destroyed it.. How will I continue this duel. I should just surrender now" Marius said, then he laughed evilly. "your doing just what I wanted you to do." he said as he waited for Jason to continue his turn.

"Yea, I guessed you knew I would find or at least attempt to find a way to destroy that Monster. But I'm not done! Next I summon Crystal Beast Sapphire Pegasus, and his effect will then activate! So my Amber Mamomth is placed into my Spell/Trap Zone as a Continuous Spell card." Pegasus appeared and his horn glowed causing an Amber Crystal to appear on Jason's field. "and next I'll equip my Pegasus with Crystal Release. Now my Pegasus' ATK is 2600! Now Pegasus, let's show him how we deal with his type! Attack him directly with Sapphire Horn!" Sapphire Pegasus neighed and charged at Marius his horn glowing blue as a blast came from it.

"your foolish attack shall now cost you your monster. Reverse card open. Holy Barrier- Mirror force" Marius chuckled as an equal force pushed back at Jason's monster. "it would seem that were just about where we started hmm." Marius laughed. "what does your duel spirit have to say to you now?" Marius asked laughingly

Jason growled as his Pegasus was destroyed but this situation could still be useful... "Pegasus now becomes a Crystal!" A Sapphire Crystal appears next to the Amber one. "Plus I got more fun now! Because my Crystal Release is gone, I get a Crystal to replace it!" A Quartz Crystal replaces the Equip card now. "But I'm not done! Next I'll activate Mystical Space Typhoon on your Field Spell! That's what my Sapphire Pegasus told me to do, And I bet you know why right? Because for each Counter on your Field, you get hit with 1000 points for each!" A Typhoon came through and destroyed his Field Spell causing 1000 damage to him. "And lastly I'll play Crystal Beacon. Because I got 2 or more Crystal Spells I can Special Summon Ruby Carbuncle from my Deck!" A small carbuncle appeared and the Ruby on its tail glowed reviving all the Crystal Spell cards back to Monsters. "Oh, and did I forget that Ruby can Special Summon all Crystal Beast Spell cards back as Monsters when Ruby's Special Summoned?" Jason smerked. "Now my Pegasus will put my Amethyst Cat in my Spell and Trap Zone." An Amethyst crystal appeared. "I'll place 1 Facedown and that's all."

"grr" Marius growled as he is hit with the psychic recoil from his field spell's destruction "a paltry attempt to slow me down, its my turn I Draw" Marius said as he drew a card into his had. his grin widened "first I will activate the spell card terraforming. it allows me to add a field spell card from my deck to hand. and the card I choose is another Brain Research Lab" Marius said as he pulled another copy of his field spell from his deck to his hand. "why wait, I shall activate this copy now" Marius grinned as the field spell slot of his duel disk slid open and he inserted the card. once more the field turned into a psychic laboratory. "this is only the beginning my "friend"" Marius said with a glare

"I have a spell card in my hand with the power to fusion from the grave" Marius said as he slapped a magic card on his duel disk. "Miracle Syncro Fusion" He yelled out "I shall target the fusion monster Ultimate Axon Kicker from my extra Deck, the fusion materials are the Hyper Psychic Blaster, you so generiously destroyed, and the other material is Psychic Commander" as Hyper Psychic Blaster and Psychic commander left the graveyard for the banshished zone.

"What's worse is that you cant destroy it by card effects" Sapphire Pegasus added, "Plus it can inflict Piercing damage"
"...great... That's the second monster he used that could do that." Jason replied, not very excited for the next part. "Unless...I got it! I Discard Effect Veiler to negate your Monster's effect!"

"pathetic, you can't take me on at full force so you resort to pathetic defensive tactics." Marius scoffed as Ultimate Axon Kicker let out an ear piercing screech. "your effect veiler's effect only lasts until this turns end phase. so I shall normal set a monster in defense mode and end my turn." Marius said

"What? No 'big attack' where you hit me for lots of damage?" Jason asked in a near-mocking tone. "Well, if your not then I guess I'll have too. My turn! I Draw!" Jason drew his card and smerked. "I activate my Fox's effect so it will copy my Sapphire Pegasus' Level and Attribute. Then it's about time I build the Overlay network with my Level 4 WIND Hidden Crystal Beast Quartz Fox and my Level 4 Crystal Beast Sapphire Pegasus. So now I build the Overlay Network and Xyz Summon The Thundering force of the Wind! Rise and Roar Lightning Chidori!" Suddenly a blade appeared... Then from the blade a gust of wind and a Lightning creature appeared and roared with its thunder. "And now I activate my Chidori's effect! When he's Xyz Summoned, that Facedown Monster of yours returns to the Bottom of your Deck!" The creature roared sending strange waves at the Facedown Monster, causing the card to begin to vanish. "Now my Chiori's second effect. By detaching 1 Overlay Unit, it can return that Fusion Monster to your Extra Deck!" The Lightning beast roared a wave of lightning at the monster.
