"How about Cold Wave?" she asked, looking at the bird. "I feel sorry for this bird, but it is necessary." Reimi looked at the bird inside the cage. "You're going to feel very good soon. Okay Jason, start the experiment." She stepped back at stayed at his side, watching.

"You don't want to see a stone bird? Okay I guess." Jason shrugged as he activated his Duel Disk. He focused on using the card on the bird and placed it in his Duel Disk. Right away a cold wave came through and when he opened his eyes, the bird was frozen like an ice statue, standing on it's perch which was also frozen solid. There was even icicles on the cage itself. "Wow! It worked Reimi!" he exclaimed, not knowing the full extent of his powers also affected her by accident as well.

When he activated Cold Wave, she instantly became extremely cold and started shivering. "C-c-could you p-put th-that a-a-away, p-p-please?" she asked,, trying to speak without stuttering. "I-I'm being affected by th-the s-spell!"

Jason didn't hear her request as he was quite occupied with the bird. "Isn't this cool Reimi?" He asked oblivious that she was freezing over as he spoke, and freezing quickly.

Going to take matters into her own hands, Reimi started to move to take the card out of his duel disk. As she began to reach out, she froze completely, unable to move or speak.

Jason preoccupied with the bird still didn't notice her. "Hey Reimi! What do you think of this?" He asked. Complete silence. "Come on Reimi, this isn't really hard." He places his hand on her frozen extended arm. "Why do you feel so cold?" He turned to see Reimi frozen solid. "Whoa!?!?!" He could only say at first as he accidentally pushed on her a bit, causing her to tip and fall. But she didn't break. "Crap! What do I do what do I do?" He thought aloud.
After about 10 minutes of attempting to figure this out, Sky Pegasus appeared. "The solution is simple, remove the card from your Duel Disk, then she'll be back to normal again." He declared.
" I-I guess I can try it..." Jason pulled the card out and immediately both Reimi and the bird unfroze. " Reimi! Are you alright?" He asked right away.

Despite being able to stand up, Reimi was still freezing. "Y-you made me freeze..." she said, looking at the bird. "A-at least, we know th-that it works." She began doing whatever she could to warm up.

"Sorry Reimi. I didn't realize you were freezing too. I wasn't paying attention because I was so fascinated with the bird." Jason replied, then he thought for a moment, "Perhaps it would have been better if I used Gorgon's Eye... You wouldnt be freezing cold right now... Anyway, let me get you a blanket or something to warm up in."

She nodded and then looked back at the bird. "It'll be okay, trust me." she told the bird, as she told it and stepped back. "Well, maybe I could see if I have any special powers." Reimi said, looking at the door.

"I don't know," Jason replied, then he noticed that she seemed to have talked to the bird who just sat there. "were you just talking to that bird?" Jason asked curiously. He was ready to get a blanket for Reimi, but wanted to hear her response first.

Reimi nodded, knowing that he hadn't gone inside the house. "Yes, I was." she answered, looking back to Jason. "I know it can't understand a word I say, but still better than complete silence, you know?"

"I guess so. But still I'm not sure how comforting that is. Anyway, I'll go on and get you that blanket." Jason replied as he walked inside and got a blanket for her.

Reimi thought she should leave, but she didn't want to go to her own house right now. As long as she warmed up, she could stay. After all, she was sure she could stay as long as she wanted.

Jason came back with the blanket and gave it to her. "There you go Reimi. You feeling any warmer?" he asked. He wondered where she now lived in this time, and hopefully her place wasn't known by Divine, unlike his home was now.

"Let me put it around myself first." Reimi replied, putting it around her and instantly warming up. "It's so warm." she remarked, looking at Jason. "Ready to continue with the experiments? I know I am, even though I'm just watching."

"I am." Jason replied, "I want to see what Time Seal does, ready to see what it does?" Jason asked. Ready to play the card but he wanted to see if Reimi had anything else to say. "Also, where are you living since your lost in time now?"

"I'm living here in this city, but I don't have the inheritance to live in a fancy house like this." she answered, looking at the house. "I really do want to get back to my own time, but I'm liking this time period...before World War Three happened."

"I can guess so." Jason replied, "I can tell that you enjoy this time a bit, but also miss your time somewhat. Anyway, I guess its time to test out this card, all ready in case it accidentally affects you Reimi?" he asked, wondering if she was prepared as well.

"Uh...well, I don't know how I can prepare for a card that will affect this area." she answered, looking around. "I can't cast a protective aura around me or anything like that." Now she began wondering what kinds of powers were available to people during this time.

"I guess not. Anyway, lets see what it does." Jason put the card in just as the bird was flying around in its cage. As soon as the card activated it stopped, as if the card was affecting time itself within the area. "This is certainly interesting." Jason mentioned looking at the bird suspended in time in mid-flight.

When he activated Time Seal, Reimi froze in mid-action. She knew she would be affected, but she had no idea how she could be unaffected by his cards. Maybe if she had her own dragon, it could protect her against card effects outside of a duel.

Jason turned and checked also that Reimi was now suspended as well. "Huh, well I guess this one freezes time... Or at least stops everything from moving." Jason mentioned. He then got an idea, he got up and moved Reimi a bit so that the bird was in her sights. "Wow, it's like everyone just turned into my personal action figures of sorts..." Jason walked away and put a teapot on the stove. He noticed that the water still ran. "Huh, maybe it only freezes things that were moving? Interesting." After that he got a chair and put it behind Reimi. "I hope you don't mind Reimi, but it's probably best for you to sit." He told her, not sure if she could even hear him. He took off the blanket she had on herself and posed her so she was sitting in the chair, legs crossed, then put the blanket back on her. Then the shriek of the kettle let him know that the water was ready. He prepared a nice warm apple cider tea and placed it in Reimi's hands. Then he got himself a cold tea and removed the card restarting time. "So how did that feel Reimi?"

Being able to move again, Reimi blinked numerous times in quick succession. "I have to ask. Why did you move me? I'm more than capable of moving on my own. I mean, not that I mind. I'm just curious, that's all." She didn't answer his question yet, but she would eventually.

"To the chair? Just so that you'd be more comfortable. You were suspended for nearly 20 minutes. Oh, please try that tea. It should warm you up right away." He replied with a smile. "So do you feel more comfortable?"

"Okay." Immediately after, Reimi took a small drink of the tea she had. "It's delicious! Right now, I'm wishing I got here sooner because of you." shebreplied, taking another drink. "I guess you've learned how to live on your own, huh?"
